Ike Visitor

Arriving home after a dinner out with a friend, L and I spotted this little guy in our backyard over the mosquito pond. He tolerated a few pictures from the backdoor with a flash so I walked a little closer. I got this and stopped, thanked the little guy, and went back in.

He left after about 10 minutes. I guess he was lost or resting. Rarely do we see owls in our our neighborhood. In fact, he may be the first I have ever seen in Lake Highlands.

Wild Life on the Kennedy Space Center

I assume a raptor, several were flying overhead most of the afternoon. The bird on the light standard (last picture) may be the same, it looks "vulture"ish.
I was watching for alligators in the ponds around the center because of warnings. I did see something, but as it got closer, it was a little less of threat.
This bird, one of many begging for popcorn, chips, and space dots....yes space dots.

Pictures Dallas to Florida

These are several shots from my flight from Dallas to Houston and on to Orlando. I am off to visit the wonderful folks that work at NASA.

The first pic is on a right bank over Orlando, the second (out of order), is two distinct levels of clouds somewhere over Waco.

The third is a roadside full of blue flowers.

The final picture of this foresome is of something that reminded me of the stone money I saw in Yap--except it is not so round and the whole in the middle is...more than one and not quite in the middle.

Wing over clouds.

On a recent business trip, I took my camera along. This was my favorite shot. I did experiment with a sunset and night shots, I may post those later. Posted by Picasa

Cowboy Orange

The next four pictures are for my in-laws that are OUS Alumni. The first two are a sign in the Houston Hobby Airport. 1/3 of all passengers will walk below this sign.

The second two pictures are in the Dallas Love field skybridge to the parking garage. 80% of all returning passengers will walk straight at this sign on their way back to their cars.
